Without further ado, the best reason to do boudoir is…
…literally any reason.
BOOM SHAKALAKA
Yup, it’s that simple. Any reason is the best reason to do boudoir, whether it’s just for you or if you’re gifting the photos to a loved one. Any reason that gets you into the home studio is good with me!
Here is a rundown of all the reasons I’ve heard from my clients as to why they booked a boudoir shoot for themselves:
- As a wedding gift for their husband-to-be
- For an anniversary gift
- As a birthday gift, either for themselves or for a loved one
- As a gift for themselves!
- Because they saw a girlfriend do a session
- Because they wanted to see themselves in a new light
- To celebrate a milestone in their professional lives
- After completing a graduate degree program
- To document their body before, during, or after the arrival of a baby (maternity boudoir is a thing y’all!)
- For Valentine’s Day or Christmas, or a similar gifting holiday
- As a way to cope with a break-up (not my favorite reason but sometimes that’s just how life goes)
