Denver Bridal Boudoir

When Mati came to me to shoot some Denver bridal boudoir, I couldn’t contain my excitement.  I knew that meant that she would have a totally fresh, new way of interpreting the concept of bridal boudoir.

For her boudoir session, she brought a few different outfits that showcased her style, fashion, and aura.  We started with a simple, short black dress that left just enough to the imagination.  A lot of Mati’s looks are often dance-inspired as she has studied dance in the past, so it was only fitting that this black piece looked like something off a contemporary jazz dancer.

She followed this outfit with a vintage Madonna-esque bustier.  I so admire Mati’s fashion sense as I know I would definitely not have the creativity to snag an outfit like this.  I’m a simple black-lingerie-kind-of-girl, through and through!  Mati always reminds me to try something different and I love that about her.

After that, we moved on to my favorite look that she brought with her: a white period piece wedding dress complete with all the tulle any bride could ever want from local fashion boutique La Lovely Vintage.  This showed me a whole new side of bridal boudoir as it gave her an opportunity to show off some movement in the photos (which is not always accessible with traditional bridal boudoir lingerie).

Her final lingerie ensemble included a traditional garter belt and strappy black lingerie.  I will shout it from the rooftops of Denver: I love strappy lingerie.  I love the playful elements it brings to a shoot, and Mati’s bralette was just gorgeous on her.

For her final outfit, we went ultra timeless: a birthday suit + red lips!  I love saving a few nude (implied or full) shots for the very end of the session.  Finish it out strong and with a bang!
