Non-Traditional Boudoir Outfits

I get it, not everyone is a huge fan of traditional lingerie.  Maybe that’s you, and that’s totally okay!  I’m here today with some inspiration for what to wear to your Denver boudoir shoot if you don’t want to wear lingerie.  Let’s take a peek at some of the non-traditional boudoir outfits a recent client of mine wore to her session with me!

For this boudoir session, my client below (who was doing her second boudoir shoot with me) chose three outfits that I would label as non-traditional boudoir outfits.  Perhaps I’d consider these lingerie-adjacent, but they’re definitely unique and different from the usual lingerie I see come into the home studio.

What I loved about these outfits:

  • The texture and color!  Despite being non-traditional boudoir outfits, what my client wore still popped on camera.  I love the mesh stripes in the first outfit, the rich blue color in the second lace outfit, and the warm floral pattern in the third outfit.
  • These outfits stayed true to my client’s personal style.  For her first boudoir session with me back in 2023, she wore similar styles, particularly the long, flowy dresses.
  • They still provide room to play with.  Meaning: though the outfits are more covering than traditional lingerie, they still show enough skin to lean into the sexiness of a boudoir shoot without giving it all away.
