What To Wear, Vol. V

It’s no debate that classic black lingerie is queen when it comes to sexiness, both in the bedroom and in a boudoir shoot.  That will be the case for as long as humans continue to exist on this planet.

But — who’s to say color can’t also be sexy?!

Mrs. M brought in two maroon pieces for her boudoir session recently and I loved that she decided to mix it up a bit.  I would estimate that of all the clothing brought in by my clients, 80% is timeless black.  Which is why I get so excited for that other 20% of the time — something new + inspiring to photograph!

For Mrs. M’s first outfit, she chose a crimson long-sleeved bodysuit that featured an open-back with gorgeous lace detailing.  This was the perfect item for some quality booty shots which simultaneously showed off some of Mrs. M tattoos.

For her next outfit, Mrs. M opted for a stunning burgundy velvet two-piece set, complete with delicate lace embellishments on both the top and bottom.  I can’t get enough of velvet at shoots lately!  The texture is so rich and it translates so well in the final photos.  I vote yes on more lace in your boudoir photos, ladies!

What a babe!  That you again to Mrs. M for doing this boudoir session with me and for showing me some new lingerie to get excited about.  I hope to see more of this at future shoots!
