COVID-19 Update

Boudoir phototgraphyHello, lovelies!  I hope you all have been staying safe + healthy lately.  I wanted to drop in real quick and give an update regarding non-essential business operations in the time of COVID-19.

A lot of you have been asking if I am doing shoots right now.  The answer is yes!  The studio is open!

I’ve made some adjustments to ensure safety for everyone involved going forward.  These are updated as of January 2022:

  • Rescheduling fees are no longer charged.  If you feel sick in the slightest, please get in touch to reschedule your shoot as soon as possible.  No questions asked, no fees charged.  I will move you to a better date where you’ll feel (and therefore look) your best!
  • Strict sanitation measures will be taken before + after each shoot.  I will make sure all high-touch surfaces have been wiped down and sanitized before you arrive.
  • Professional hair and makeup are now optional.  If you’d like, you can do your own styling at home.  I have DIY makeup tips for you here to help ensure the best boudoir makeup for your shoot.  If you are comfortable with professional hair styling and makeup application, I can still definitely book that for you!
  • Face masks will be required for all clients who are NOT vaccinated.  I will not be checking your vaccine card, so this is purely on the honor system.  Please remember that you are coming into my home and that I am a one-woman show.  I’d like to avoid a positive covid diagnosis for as long as possible, as it’s very unpleasant to have to reschedule client sessions.  Many have booked a shoot that directly correlates with specific timing like a wedding or anniversary.  I’d hate for them to miss their deadlines, so I please ask that you are honest and forthcoming about your vaccine status and mask up if you are not vaccinated.  For reference, I am fully vaccinated (three shots of Moderna, baby!).  I am happy to wear a mask during your shoot if you’d feel more comfortable.
  • I will do my best to keep my distance during the shoot.  A lot of boudoir photos are very up-close and personal; it’s part of the intimate nature of this type of art.  I will be keeping my distance a bit more than normal to minimize our contact.
  • Reveal meetings will now take place virtually using Zoom.  After all your images are edited and ready for viewing, I will host a virtual reveal session where you will be able to see your images for the first time.  It’s not as intimate as the old reveal sessions, where we would sit at my kitchen table and chat about the photos together over a cup of tea, but this is definitely a much safer option that further protects all parties involved.  The reveal session will be the same as before, where you’ll be able to order whichever products you like whenever you’re ready.

That’s all I have for you for now.  I’ll make sure to update this post as new information becomes available.  If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch or shoot me an email at [ashley.kidder@gmail.com].  I hope to see you in the studio soon!
